Photos from the International Tsunami Survey Team to Sri Lanka, taken less than two weeks after the December 26th, 2004 tsunami. This survey was funded by the National Science Foundation and EERI. Photos from the Coastal Impacts Survey Team to the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coasts, taken after Hurricane Katrina devastated the area. Among other observations, this team measured a surge elevation of 28' in Waveland, MS. This survey was funded by ASCE.
